Fans and avid readers, I️ have to give a PSA and apologize for my lack of posts in the last two weeks. As you all know, there has been a lot of excitement and fun surrounding this Notre Dame Football team.

First things first. THE IRISH ARE FOR REAL!

A whooping of NC State and a Wake Forest win that was a lot worse than the score says, this Notre Dame team is playing damn good football.

NC State was the STATEment game that they needed after the certification questioning the validity of their win against USC the week prior. The turnovers of Sam Darnold, the Defensive line being diminished. All these excuses were made to try and discredit the large margin of victory for the Irish.

That was settled, as they did the same thing to a fully healthy NC State Defensive Line, supposedly full of NFL talent. The score was lopsided and there was another Top 15 win for the Irish.

ter the win versus NC State, the CFP committee made it very clear that they appreciate and understand the wins the Irish have. They also showed how much they value the Georgia 1 point loss. They ranked them #3 in the Playoff standings, only behind Georgia and Alabama.

The numbers don’t lie. As long as the Irish win, they will be at the top. No questions asked. Let me also fill you in, the NCAA and College Football LOVES when Notre Dame is back in the top 4 talk. That’s a whole lotta’ 💰 compared to some of the other teams in that conversation.

You heard it here, if they win out, NO QUESTION they will be in the playoff. They won’t be able to hold them out!

Demolishing the Desmond Deacons. Now, the Wake Forest game was a lot more out of hand than the score showed. Trust me, I️ was there. The mist of rain had most fans a little aggravated and on edge to begin the possibility or “trap game” before The U the following week. We left at the start of the 3rd quarter, when it became 41-24. A few late scores in the 4th made this game’s final score seem closer than what it was.

For some reason, this team continues to get better and better each week. Over 700 yards of TOTAL OFFENSE! Are you kidding me?! That’s unheard of, especially for a team that everyone said was “one dimensional”. Yeah right, people.

There were two major scares throughout the 1st half. Josh Adams left the game in the 2nd quarter and didn’t come back in the rest of the game. Brandon Wimbush also hit his hand on a Wake Forest helmet on a long run and went immediately to the locker room. Good news was that both injuries were minor and both are expected to be fine for this Saturday in Miami.

Another Stop On the CFP Campaign This week, Miami (FL). Folks, I️ don’t have to tell you what this game means. Miami just came off a win vs Virginia Tech and moved up even farther in the rankings. #7 Miami and the Irish moves up to #3 in the AP Poll as well. What a matchup between two storied programs with such big implications for both. This is make or break for each, no questions asked.

Kirk, Corso, Desmond, and the crew of College Gameday will be in Coral Gables on Saturday for coverage as well as the night cap game. Look out for a great game, back and forth with two great offenses and defenses that are here to shut them down.

Keys to the Game

1. Josh Adams. Will need to be spectacular with the rock and show why he is a legitimate Heisman candidate. If he is able to rush the ball effectively, the Irish control the game and their destiny.

2. Julian Love and the secondary. Julian Love had ANOTHER turnover on Saturday along with breaking the single-season record for pass breakups by a corner at Notre Dame. This will need to continue to ensure this offense of Miami is limited in the big play department. Limit those, you limit the ability for them to convert and keep up with this high-octane offense.

Prediction Notre Dame 28, Miami 13.

‘Nuff said. Go Irish ☘️
